What’s Happening
Assalam Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu
Seriously, what is happening? Everyone is all of a sudden deciding to change their aqeedah and take on some of the most controversial issues & spread them. Honestly, I have literally been crying and have had a heavy feeling in my heart.
I kind of want to die right now because I feel as if there is another huge fitnah approaching us and I don’t know if I can weather it. I used to think that I will remain Muslim when the Dajjal comes, but now I’m totally not sure. If I am having doubts because of the recent ‘internet changes’, I wonder how I will be if I am still alive when the Dajjal comes. (May Allaah protect us all from the fitnah of the Dajjal, Ameen).
May Allaah take my soul in the highest of emaan and allow me to die once I have received the level of Ihsaan, Ameen.

It isn’t everyone. People just have decided to do research. Some people though act very foolish and sometimes take things on a less serious level (you may know as to who I am referring to).
But I am sure people are not changing just to change. Al `ilmu qabla qauli wal `amal

Asalamu alaykum,
Regardless of what people do truth is still truth and falsehood is still falsehood. O Allah, show us truth as being true and help us to follow it and show us falsehood as being false and keep us away from it. Ameen.

Assalamu aleykum sister
if you get confused bcuz people who you know online/offline are changing, that means that your not sure of your own aqeedah. if you have a firm ground nothing will rock you, no matter who they are.
if people wanna change even thou others have shown them proofs, then they will be questioned on judgement day,not you. your job is to research your own aqeedah, the aqeedah of ahlu sunnah wal jama’ah, and alhamdulillaah its very clear.
sheikh Abu muhammad al maqdesi have a book called this is our aqeedah, it was posted on IN i believe. read it and ask Allaah to open your heart to the haq.
that people all of a sudden decide to be sufis, and we know how sufis are, then may Allaah guide them.
just remember you need to have walaa and baraa all the time, even if its people you loved for the sake of Allaah, then you must have baraa for the sake of Allaah aswell..
so, if someone close to you confuses you, ia dvice you to stay away from them and keep to the people whom you know are on haq.
May Allaah guide us all

How are sufis? Do you think that the word sufi has a lot of baggage with it? Because I can be a sufi, and probably be labeled by you something stupid and be the total opposite.
Umm Salwa said,

its not what I think about sufis, but how are the sufis in their aqeedah according ahlu sunnah wal jama’ah and in the light of the Quran & sunnah.
to be sufi started as something good, but is now a totally misguided sect, and you know that aswell..
i do not know what u umm layth have changed to,but its been well explained by knowledgable brothers. ask yourself, was this how the sahaba was? ya3ni subhanAllah islam is clear and the correct aqeedah is clear as Allaah will chose a group to always be on haq.
but bcuz someone(or the whole SI) [im not on that forum alhamdulillah],imagine all those people whom u have confused? im not blaming u since we all should be firm in our aqeedah but for those weak in their deen..imagine that?
but what i can say is, haq is clear and baatil is clear and we will all be questiond alone in our graves and on judgement day.
i dont want the burden on my shoulders of having caused a muslim to doubt ..May Allaah protect us all ameen
but if i had a friend who changed her belief and made me doubt id stay far away from her. cuz its like the hadeeth about friends and the blacksmith you will take something from them, wether u like it or not.
salamun aleykunna

On the authority of Abu Musa al-Ash’ari (radiAllahu anhu), the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said:
“The likeness of a righteous friend and an evil friend, is the likeness of a (musk) perfume seller and a blacksmith. As for the perfume seller, he may either bestow something on you, or you may purchase something from him, or you may benefit from his sweet smell. And as for the blacksmith, he may either burn your clothes, or you may be exposed to his awful smell.”

and one last thing. Umm layth if people dont follow the sufi “manhaj” then why do they call themselves sufi. so yes of course the sufi got some baggage with it, just like if u called urself a shi3iyyah that would mean you follow their version of islam. and then you’d be offended if someone called u a shi3iyyah? it dont make sense.

Salafiya:
Just be sure what you’re doing is to please Allaah ta3ala and then it wont matter if everything and everyone is burning all around you - you’ll be cool and comfy just like Ibraheem (AS) was in the fire.

You wouldn’t be able to tell me why sufis believe what they believe. So I won’t even waste my time.
Honestly Umm Salwa, ask yourself, how “strong” are you in your own deen?
We are all laymen and we need to find the truth. You have your beliefs and of course anything that you feel opposes that truth is false and baatil. If you feel someone will harm you, by all means stay away from them. It is just so sad how many people go on about how so and so is wrong, without even knowing anything.
As for SI, then if you are not there, you shouldn’t speak about it. Pretty simple in my own opinion.

Assalaamu alaikom wa rahamatullah.
I don’t think I’ve commented on your blog before.
I’ll post my two cents if you don’t mind.
People will come and go on the right path. People enter into Islam and they leave Islam. People dig deeper into Islam and they change their ideas based on research. They may or may not be right. It is up to you to research and take matters into your own hands. You can not rely on anyone else for your aqeedah. I’m sure you know this logically, but it emotionally it hurts to see people leave what you believe to be the truth. I can understand that. We all need to pray that Allah guides us (no matter where it takes us i.e. against what we currently beliee is right).

Umm layth, yes i can tell you what the sufis on, its well known and i can rime the stuff up to u if u wish, but for what benefit? how many people have told you this stuff before me but with no response. if u wish i have this book called sufis according to the Quran and sunnah, i can write the points down, but it is alreay well known and easy to find all over the net.
so how can u say..they say stuff without knowing anything, do u know what i know for u to speak about that?
alhamdulillaah i have no doubt in what i believe and we all need to have a fast ground, otherwise you’d sway right n left whenever people come with a new idea.

Umm salwa, if presented with a refutation of that, you would probably be confused because you are just blindly following someone in hopes that they are right in their refutation of sufis.
Don’t get me wrong though. I don’t agree with everything and I am sure some of you people out there already assume I do, but hey assume as you wish. Our reckoning is to our Lord!

Assalamu alaikum, I think that fitnah exists everywhere and at all times anyway as the world gets more and more “westernized” (backward???). A lot of people (especially reverts) love to do research and find out everything they can about the Deen, mashaAllah walhamdulillah that is a good thing, but a lot of times they forget to ask where the particular idea came from. Who is the scholar? Where did he study? Under whom did he study? Which tafsir are they using? It the narration sahih?
I have nothing against reverts (I am one) and little against the West (my origins), so don´t think I am bashing anyone…I just think that before people start spouting things, they should find out the logic behind it and decide whether it is something with which they really agree and can back up.
Fi aman Allah,

Oops, sorry for letting this go on without any updates. Yeah, so I talked it over with a student of knowledge & aside from a few small questions I still have to ask him, I’m “all better” Alhumdulillah. I was just shocked, I guess, at what I’ve learned in the past couple of months….and what’s happened to ppls’ personal lives since early summer (not at all related to aqeedah). Alhumdulillah it’s all good now.
I also recommend ‘This is Our Aqeedah’….I think there is a revised version out there, but I don’t have it. Oh, and reading the introduction by Jamal Zarabozo on the Commentary of Imaam Nawawi’s 40 Hadeeth helped a lot.
May Allaah guide us all to the Haqq & keep us there. Ameen
