Blog Presentation
Assalam Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu
So I’m taking English over the summer, right? Our teacher has given us a project in which we are to make a blog and post continuously for a week. I was thinking about giving this blog link, but I don’t really like handing out my blog in real life to acquaintances. Ya3nee, if they find it, then ok. So yeah, I’m thinking of making a new blog on live journal. I thought it would be an awesome opportunity for da3wah. What should I talk about on my blog? We have to hand in journals every class meeting and I have talked about the 5 pillars of Islaam. So what should I talk about on my blog? I was thinking I could talk about: tawheed (even though I already talked about it), women in Islaam, the justice/prison system (Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo), the effects of depleted uranium (and other weapons of mass destruction)….hmmm I need 3 more topics please. I might have some light topics just for fun too. Help me please. jazakumAllaahu khairun.

Assalamu’alaykum
I think u should try to be casual about the blog posts. Maybe you can post your reflections about things such as the purpose of life and why we are here and incorporate deen into it. Inshaa Allah this was helpful
Luv u and miss u!

Well, you could always go with the “Muslim in the West” identity thing… I personally think it’s sorta old, but it’s always great for Da’wah (here in Canada, anyway, people are obsessed with ‘identity issues’ especially if you come from a certain culture or religion or whatever).
Purpose of life is another thing you could Da’wahBlog about… and for something light-hearted: funny comments you’ve gotten because of your hijaab (or anything else, really).

Subhanallah you know i was gonna suggest the purpose of life also before i read the comments and its already been suggested i guess thats a good topic you should go on inshallah
how about a topic on the misconceptions in islam, or why you love islam, or maybe how islam is a way of life not just a relegion?
just some suggestions hope it works out inshallah

Salaam 3laikum,
Masha Allah… this blog has a lot of potential. The topics which you have selected are definitely worth the effort and I will be glad to help. Insha Allah it will be a great opportunity for Da3wah as well as Isla7. How about including a topic on Ghurabaa’ (Strangers).
Wassalaam…

jazakAllaahu khair bro….
It’s not this blog I made, it was another one. It’s been very carefree and just about non-religious stuff so far because stuff came in the way (my grandmother was taken to the ER - Alhumdulillah she’s ok)
But I really want to talk a lot more about Islaam. I’m definitely doing purpose of life inshaAllaah.
As for your suggestion about the ghurabaa what shall I tell them? (this is a non-Muslim bunch…there are a couple of Muslims in the same class as well)

Salaam 3alaikum,
Hmm, I see… if its a non-Muslim bunch, we can use it well for Da3wah Insha Allah. ‘Purpose of Life’ is definitely worth doing then, I’ll be glad to help. I think ‘Misconceptions about Islam’ is a worthwhile topic too, obviously it goes hand in hand with Da3wah.
I think the best way to proceed will be to organize it all and make an agenda sort of thing… so that the contributors can know what is to be done when and what goals have been accomplished etc. Then an editor-in-chief can finalize things… I guess you know the drill.
Insha Allah it will be a rewarding experience.
Jazakallah Khair sis!

Sis Salafiya how are you?
I hope you are in the best of health and Iman inshaa’Allah. You know who I am
I will tell you on gmail inshaAllah lol.
anyway! I know im really late in my commenting, but I think I told you on Gmail how you could approach the blog. Basically it is what everyone said up there ^ alhamdulillah.
Tawheed first and foremost ofcourse. Think about how the disbelieving people developed true imaan in the first stages of revelation in Makkah. Think of their everyday life and iA the message of Tawheed will spark some interest and realization and they will THINK. ANd never get discouraged…because there will be people in this world who will throw accusation after accusation at da’iees of Islam…have patience and never ever get discouraged if this happens. but inshaa’Allah this WON’t happen and iA maybe thru your sincere efforts someone will be guided to Islam, by the will of Allah SWT.
OK well Salafiya PLEASE tell us how it goes and give us the link to the blog! Keep updating!
And please drop by my blog. I’d love your support and du’aas:)

Hey jazakumAllaahu khairan you guys….I talked a little bit about Islaam on the blog…and incorporated it into the majority of my speech. To tell you the truth, it felt sort of weird that I was talking so much about Islaam. I’m sure I stirred up some negative feelings in the class. khair inshaAllaah. Oh and my powerpoint didn’t work. It would just NOT open, despite me having sent it to my gmail, hotmail, school email, and someone’s yahoo. Sheesh! Alhumdulillah ‘ala kulli hal

All the ideas mentioned above were brilliant Masha’allah. Im glad you’ve finally started posting on the blog ukhtee and like what was mentioned previously “May Allah swt guide them through your hands”. Ameen.
Just only be true to yourself, and speak about Islam whole heartedly, sincerely, and honestly and by the will of Allah swt it will spark a light in their hearts. . .
Baraak Allahu Feeky ya ukhtee, and hope to see you soon insha’allah =)

Wa Alaikum Assalam Wa Rahmatullhi Wa Barakatuhu
noo I’m not ready LOL. Actually since I had way too much sleep the past few days (really I don’t know what’s wrong with me), I’m going to pull an all-nighter tonight and study for the exam and do my regular homework as well inshaAllaah
but what time are you getting there? inshaAllaah I’ll ask my bro when he’s willing to get there by (he’s expecting me to do all of the homework lol….but then again, when he asked me which questions I’m doing, I said all of them).
