Janazah of Dr. Saleh as Saleh
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmat Ullaah.
Just came back from the Janaazah of Saleh as-Saleh (r). We prayed over him here at the Prophet’s Masjid, then carried him over to al-Baqee’, then watched while two men entered into the grave and two others handed them the body. The body was placed in the lahd, facing the qiblah. Many brothers formed a train transporting the bricks that were then placed behind the body so as to seal the lahd off the rest of the grave. Finally, we started dumping soil into the grave until it was filled to the top, and we stayed a short while around the grave supplicating for him.
His son, Rasheed (about 23 years old), told me that his father died following a sharp drop in his diabetic sugar level while he was leaving from Jumu’ah prayer yesterday. He was immediately transported to al-Ansaar hospital where he passed away soon thereafter. May Allaah forgive him, engulf him with His mercy, and admit him and us into His spacious Garden.
Rasheed has one daughter, and he told me that his mother had recently embraced Islam after he had extended discussions with her in US. In addition to Rasheed and his sister (from the American wife), Saleh had Abdurrahman and Asmaa from a second wife (all currently in Egypt ), and he has several children (probably five) from his current wife, the oldest son being Abdullaah (about 12 years old, was present during the burial). May Allaah (T) grant his family patience, acceptance, and submission to Allaah’s will, and may He reward them for their great loss.
Was-salaamu ‘alaykum

 Assalam Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah
subhanAllaah 2 of the scholars of this ummah have passed away in the same week. It seems as if this is fulfilling the prophecy of knowledge being taken away through the deaths of scholars. Though I only attended a few of his lectures on paltalk, it’s still so saddening to hear about his departure from this dunya. May Allaah forgive him & accept him into Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen

As-salaamu alaykum
The brother will be missed by many of us, yet he will never be forgotten. He was a blessing of knowledge to many of us who didn’t have anyway else to seek the knowledge of a scholar. He brought the knowledge of the great scholars to those of us who didn’t speak arabic alhamdulillah. He was always there for any of his brothers and sisters in Islam who needed his help. Although many of us have never met the brother, he touched all of our hearts. May Allah shower the brother with His Mercy, and grant him the highest place in Jannah with the prophets. May the blessing of Allah be upon his family at this time and may He give them much sabr during this time of pain. ameen

As Salaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh!
Many of us were fortunate to have sat and be taught by our Noble Sheikh wa’l Hamdulillah.
Let us take from his lessons and carry on the dawatus salafiyyah, and that it becomes Sadaqa tu Juriyah for him. May his grave be spaciously expanded and may he be rewarded with Al Firdaus, ameen.

Asalam Aleykum to the muslims,
It is indeed sad to hear the story. We should accept the decree of Allah and inshallah preserved the great knowledge spread by the noble man. I listened to his lectures and he was a very nice explainer of things. May Allah grant him the best in akhira, He was the most accessible of the scholars on paltalk he would spend time teaching us good information. May Allah give his family n his loved ones sab’r and May Allah give us tofeeq to understand/spread the good knowledge rightfully. I’d say lets visit his site and listen to his lectures, so he continues to get the ajar as prophet said in hadith knowledge one leaves behind is sadaqa-e-jariya.

Ameen to the du’aas.
Bro (you know who you are), that was uncalled for. I didn’t agree with everything that Saleh as Saleh said either (from all that I heard from him which was very little), but that is NO reason to say what you did. Now I’m going to delete your comment because I’m not sure if you (as guests) can delete it.
Even if you didn’t like him at all, please refrain from talking ill about him as a person since he’s dead. If you find mistakes in his lectures, then by all means go refute them and say he was wrong and I won’t say a word. But to say that was unnecessary and what if that is considered backbiting/slandering? Please, for the sake of Allaah, do not say anything bad about him. Who is it going to hurt if you DON’T say that? And if you mean to warn others of him, then do it with hikmah and with evidence. jazakAllaahu khairan [don't see this as an attack against you, but as advice because though I don't know who you are, I truly want the best for you as my brother in Islaam]

Inna lillahi wa inna illayhi rajiun. May Allaah have mercy on him and admit him into the highest gardens of jannah - firdous. Ameen.
SubhanAllaah, the death of others is a reminder for us about our own deaths. Indeed, no soul will be safe from the pangs of death. Indeed, every soul shall taste it. The difference, then, is what we take with us to the akhirah - some of us would have striven to earn and take many good deeds with us, and others, not so. Brothers and sisters, let this be a reminder for us all to begin preparing for our own deaths. Indeed, the final term of our soul is not known to us - the angel of death can visit any one of us while we are busy going about our daily lives or when we are sound asleep. we do not know when the final term of our soul. As such, make your every deed a good and noble one for it may be your last!
Wassalamu alaykum.

Subhanallaah! How Perfect Allaah is. I did love the Shaikh-Dr Saleh As Saleh for the sake of Allaah. He had so much love and concern for the Muslims and how he used to stop his class to answer the questions of the non-Muslim and invited them to learn about Islaam and he had much patience in teaching and spreading the true message of Islam.
May Allaah grant him the highest place in Jannah (paradise) and grant his family patience and make them from the righteous. Ameen

Assalamualaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh
I have known Brother Saleh (Abu Rashid) for many years when he lived in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Brother Saleh displayed utmost passion for the Truth, for the Religion of Truth and for The Sunna of our beloved prophet Muhammad Sallallahu alyhe wa sallam.
Many brothers inlcuding myself owe him immnesely for introducing us to many of the great scholars of this Ummah including Sheikh Albani (Rahimahullah).
Before he moved to Saudi Arabia my beloved brother Saleh (Abu Rashid) had regular Halaqat. For those who did not know him, he had a doctorate in biochemistry and he had research grants at the University of Cincinnati. He gave up Dunya and prestige for the love of Islam and devoted himself to dive into Islamic knowledge.
May Allah have His Mercy on bother Saleh and all Muslims, and May Allah bless this Ummah with many brothers like Abu Rashid who will cling to the Sunna of our prophet Sallallahualayhe wa sallam and the Truth until the day of Judgment, Ameen
